Are Thanksgiving Sides Better Than The Main Dish?

I’ve finally finished my Halloween candy, so it’s time to move on to Thanksgiving!

Campbell’s Soup released its annual Thanksgiving poll on America’s favorite sides.  And to the surprise of absolutely nobody, mashed potatoes are #1.  Stuffing, mac-and-cheese, sweet potatoes, and green bean casserole (which I think serving to someone should be considered an actual crime) round out the top five.

That’s the same five as last year.  But stuffing moved up from 4th to 2nd, and mac-and-cheese moved from 5th to 3rd.

67% of Americans like Thanksgiving sides more than the entrée . . . so turkey, ham, or some sort of nut loaf if you’re vegan.  That’s up one percentage point from last year.
