Jimmy Kimmel Has College Bowl Game Named After Him

Jimmy Kimmel is officially a part of the college football world – and probably not in the way you’d expect.

On Thursday, the late-night host was named as the title sponsor of a new bowl game – the ‘Jimmy Kimmel L.A. Bowl’, which will be played at SoFi Stadium.

This isn’t some kind of late April Fool’s stunt – Kimmel himself insists it’s “not a joke”. He has reportedly signed a multi-year deal with SoFi Stadium.

Kimmel called it “history in the making”, adding ““Never before has a bowl game been named after a human being. And Papa John doesn’t count. He’s barely human.”

The inaugural Jimmy Kimmel L.A. Bowl will air Dec. 18th on Kimmel’s home network, ABC.

Have bowl game naming rights gone too far? How much do you think Kimmel paid for this?
