Selena Gomez is opening up after heartache, her “super single” status, and new music in a recent interview.

Gomez’s new songs, “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now,” were released last week and completed a chapter in the singer’s life, one that she says she did for her and her fans.

Although Selena didn’t name any names, she talked about the codependency she felt in past relationships and how she mistook what love looks like.

Selena looks forward to future relationships saying, “I want to know what that love will look like next for me. I want it to be real, and I don’t want it to be codependent or messy or lack of communication.”
