When it became clear that Tom Brady was going to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this week. a whole lot of people had the same question: Why? Well, Page Six reports that the former New England Patriots quarterback chose the Bucs over further-flung suitors because he wanted to stay close to his 12-year-old son, Jack, who lives in New York with his mom and Brady’s ex, the actress Bridget Moynahan. “A lot of [the reason for his choice] had to do with proximity to New York,” says an insider. “Jack lives in New York and [Brady] wants to be close to his son.” Fine, but isn’t Boston a whole lot closer?
